According to the U.S. Department of Homeland, as a distributor of forest products, our business is considered an "Essential Business." Our company therefore does not fall under federal, state, and local restrictions and CMP will remain open during our normal operating hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Our products are vital for businesses such as hospitals, banks, and other essential businesses to convey important product and health safety information to the public, especially during these unprecedented times.
In the coming weeks, we will be rotating time off and work from home privileges for certain employees, to keep our employees safe and to lower our staffing levels to fall in line with current orders. Delivery times may vary as we consolidate routes and rotate drivers.
Our #1 responsibility is to provide a safe work environment for our employees and for our customers. We ask that you help us with this by allowing our drivers to bring orders to your door, not inside your building.
Thank you for being flexible and for your ongoing partnership with CMP.
In light of the current Global concerns about the COVID-19 Virus, we at Central Michigan Paper wanted to let you know what our priorities are at this time. Number one is the health and well-being of our employees, customers and vendors. We are following all guidelines as outlined by the CDC and other Government agencies with respect to cleaning and sanitizing of Warehouse and Office areas, to make sure we keep our people safe from this disease. We have placed a temporary ban on all non-essential business travel to make sure all employees and customers are as safe as possible. CMP sales employees are not visiting customers, and visitors are prohibited at CMP locations. At this time we have some employees working from home, and plans are being made for even more remote working if necessary.
Visitors are encouraged to call or email CMP. Meetings of large groups of people are postponed until further notice as well. CMP delivery personnel will be signing delivery slips and practicing social distancing.
As far as meeting YOUR needs as customers, we are still at full operation, with a full staff and equipment base so that you can count on our commitment to delivering products where and when you need them. If this situation changes, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Should you desire any COVID-19 communication from any of our manufacturers, please contact your sales representative for assistance.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are here to serve. Thank you for your continued support of Central Michigan Paper.
